The Champ Foundation is excited to announce our approval of our first $100,000 grant to Dr. Suneet Agarwal at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Agarwal aims to “innovate and apply novel approaches to specifically deplete mutant mtDNA in PS patient cells” and his first goal is “to develop the tools and knowledge needed to develop a targeted therapy for patients with PS and related mtDNA diseases.”
Dr. Agarwal’s lab is now recruiting a post-doctoral fellow at the Stem Cell Program, Division of Hematology/Oncology at Boston Children’s Hospital in affiliation with Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Please pass along to anyone interested in this position! See the ad for a post-doc and email thechampfoun[email protected] with any questions or if you want a PDF version of the application guidelines.
We are so excited to get things moving with this grant. We are confident that with your support and Dr. Agarwal’s research, we can find a cure for Pearson Syndrome!
